Rebind Your Favorite Books

Have you read your favorite book over and over again and the cover is falling apart on you? Do you love the story but feel ambivalent about the cover design? Did you accidentally spill a drink on the cover? Learn how to make a customized hardcover for your favorite book! In this class, you’ll learn how to make a new cover and will be able to customize it with decorative paper, handmade labels, beautiful endpapers, and fancy headbands!
Please bring a couple of books to choose from, with the interiors in good condition, for your rebinding.

Refillable Woven Paper Sketchbooks

In this class, you’ll learn how to make a flexible sketchbook or journal without the use of any adhesives, using strips of decorative paper to connect the pages to the cover. You’ll learn how to sew a book together from sections of folded paper and get to personalize your cover with collage, drawings, and prints.
By the end of this class, you’ll walk away with a modern take on a historical binding style and the knowledge needed to make a new book block once you’ve filled up this first one!
