About

Nicoline Meyer is an emerging book artist and proprietor of Silver Ocean Studio, currently based in Boston. Nicoline creates her own work and performs unique and edition work for clients. A recent graduate of North Bennet Street School, she is currently the Preservation Coordinator at Brandeis University and the Exhibitions and Events co-chair for the New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers.

Originally from Northern California and a boat in the Southern Pacific Ocean, she started to explore bookbinding while at Oberlin College for her undergraduate degrees.

A desire to work with historical objects led Nicoline to an MA in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco and a position at the American Bookbinders Museum. While there, she made models for the exhibit floor, curated exhibits on bookbinding and book history, and participated as an artist in the Hand Bookbinders of California's annual membership exhibition.
